Let’s spread kindness! Observed every February, and celebrated this year from February 11-17, 2018, #RAKWeek is an annual opportunity to unite through kindness. Led by the Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Foundation and formally recognized in 2000, this seven-day celebration demonstrates how kindness starts with one. It’s an opportunity for everyone to leave the world better than they found it and inspire others to do the same.
We’re proud to partner with RAK and the Denver Public Library to bring you RAK Week activities at library branches around the city.
Pick up a RAK Week bookmark to color and share at these DPL locations:
Random Acts of Kindness Week – Saturday, Feb. 10-Saturday, Feb. 17 @ Ross-Cherry Creek

Field Family: Pet Blankets – Wednesday, Feb. 14, 4-5 p.m. @ Eugene Field
Participate in #CaptureKindness by making pet blankets that will be donated to an animal shelter. Ideal for ages 8-14 with and adult helper.
Home of the Brave: A Small Town, Its Veterans And The Community They Built Together, with Author Donna Bryson – Saturday, Feb. 17, 2:30 p.m. @ Park Hill
Donna Bryson gives a detailed and honest accounting of how residents of a struggling Colorado town revitalized their community by helping veterans looking for a place to call home. Celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day with us as we discuss how compassion, kindness and service can transform lives and inspire communities and whether Montrose, Colorado, is a blueprint for others.
