Westerns: The Golden Years

Join the Denver Film Society to explore the film genre of Westerns! There are some great titles in this series.
From DFS: The Western was the most defining film genre of the 20th Century. From the 1930’s through the early 1970’s, the Western dominated the silver screen and almost all of the industry’s best-known directors and actors took a shot, so to speak, on portraying the style. We’ll take a look at some of the most important films from this five-decade stretch as well as discuss what happened and what came next for the American (and non-American) Western.
