Unsilent Night: Caroling with Smartphones

Join in a luminous walking symphony of smart phones, mp3 players, and boomboxes when we envelope downtown Denver with NYC composer Phil Kline’s UNSILENT NIGHT, a unique community caroling event where the audience becomes the performer. Gather on the front steps of Central Presbyterian Church (Sherman St at 17th St) at 6p and you’ll be treated to some hot chocolate and instructions on performing the piece. Bring a smartphone with a portable bluetooth speaker or other means of amplification (it’s recommended to download the app or mp3 at unsilentnight.com/participate.hml prior to the event). Everyone will press play simultaneously at 6:30p and begin to walk a carefully chosen route through downtown Denver. People of all ages are invited to participate!
