Theater on the Green: Seussical the Musical

Theater on the Green at Stapleton is truly a treat. All performances are FREE and open to the public and take place on a lovely green lawn in the heart of the Stapleton Town Center. These productions are professionally produced and feature stage lighting and audio to everyone can see and hear the performance. Bring a picnic blanket or low-rise chairs, some drinks and snacks (or purchase on site from food trucks and nearby restaurants) and enjoy a delightful evening of theater under the stars.

About Seussical the Musical (from Wikipedia): Seussical is a musical by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty based on the books of Dr. Seuss (mainly “Horton Hears a Who!”, “Horton Hatches the Egg” and “Miss Gertrude McFuzz”) that debuted on Broadway in 2000. The play’s story is a rather complex amalgamation of many of Seuss’s most famous books. After a Broadway run, the production spawned two US national tours and a UK tour. It has become a favorite for school, community and regional theatres.
