FREE! Everyone is welcome for the opening of the Biennial Pavilion, the home of the Biennial of the Americas for the next 6 weeks. The pavilion will be home to exhibitions and free events open to the public.
About the Opening Evening: The Biennial of the Americas presents a vibrant evening street festival in the Union Station neighborhood featuring music by The Flobots and Making Movies (with members from Panama, Mexico, and the U.S.), the opening of the exhibition Oíd el Sueño de una Palabra / Listen to the Dream of a Word, a project by de_sitio in collaboration with Museo Comunitario del Valle de Xico and Colectivo Xico Arte. The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art brings Line Break / disrupting rhythms, BMoCA’s Poetry & Performance Cafe to the Biennial Pavilion with refreshments for sale to Pavilion visitors. Partygoers will be escorted across 15th Street to MCA Denver (1485 Delgany St.) by a marching band crossing guard for the opening of the central art exhibition Now? NOW!, plus food, music and body art.
