Denver Rocks! Let's do cool things!
The President’s Kitchen Cabinet: The Story of the African Americans Who Have Fed Our Presidents from the Washingtons to the Obamas by Adrian Miller will be published by the University of North Carolina Press on President’s Day, 2017! Adrian will throw a launch party in Denver on Saturday, February 18, 2017. A VIP reception will take place from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and a free public reception will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Former White House Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier, Senior Master Sgt. Wanda Joell (who handled presidential food on Air Force One), Executive Chef Charlie Redden (formerly of the White House Mess) and Kiana Farkash (Colorado’s representative to the 2014 Kids’ State Dinner) are tentatively scheduled to appear at Adrian’s book launch party, and share their stories with you. Their attendance will be confirmed in the coming weeks, and will depend upon ticket sales to the VIP reception and sponsorships.
Adrian’s book launch party will be a fantastic community event featuring former presidential chefs, presidential reenactors, presidential food and drink (from real White House recipes) and music (with the occasional campaign song thrown in).
