Parade of Lights

Kick off your holiday season with a classic Denver event: the Parade of Lights. The two-mile parade through downtown features marching bands, ornate floats and a special appearance by Major Waddles the Penguin and Santa. The epitome of kitschy Christmastime fun, it seems like people from all walks of life and from every neighborhood in the city turn out for this annual spectacle. If you’ve never been, you should go at least once.
