National Theatre Live: Saint Joan

March 19, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

2 shows only:
Thursday, March 16th at 7pm and Sunday, March 19th at 1pm.

Joan: daughter, farm girl, visionary, patriot, king-whisperer, soldier, leader, victor, icon, radical, witch, heretic, saint, martyr, woman.

Josie Rourke (Les Liaisons Dangereuses, The Vote, Coriolanus) directs Gemma Arterton (Gemma Bovery, Nell Gwynn, Made in Dagenham) as Joan of Arc in this electrifying production.

Bernard Shaw’s classic play follows the life and trial of a young country girl who declares a bloody mission to drive the English from France. As one of the first Protestants and nationalists, she threatens the very fabric of the feudal society and the Catholic Church across Europe.

As a part of the National Theatre Live series, “Saint Joan” will be recorded live and shown on a delayed basis. The Sie FilmCenter is the exclusive Denver-area venue for this thrilling series of great plays.

Simulcast in full HD and 5.1 Surround Sound.

[$15 for DFS Members, $16 for Seniors or Students, $18 for General Admission]
