Denver Rocks! Let's do cool things!
Music was part of Still’s life from an early age. Still played piano and memorized works by Beethoven, Chopin, and Schubert. His record collection, which is part of the Museum’s archives, includes an eclectic mix of classical, jazz, traditional gospel, blues, and folk. This winter, the Clyfford Still Museum is partnering with the Friends of Chamber Music and Swallow Hill Music to offer a new way to encounter Still’s work: live music in the galleries—performed not in concert but as a way to experience Still’s work through sight and sound. Chairs will be scattered throughout the museum for your use. Sit, look, listen, enjoy.
