Denver Rocks! Let's do cool things!
Music was part of Still’s life from an early age. Still played piano and memorized works by Beethoven, Chopin, and Schubert. His record collection, which is part of the Museum’s archives, includes an eclectic mix of classical, jazz, traditional, gospel, blues, and folk. If you share Still’s appreciation for music, join us for these live performances in the galleries to experience his work through both sight and sound.
La Pompe Jazz Band: March 12
La Pompe plays a mixture of French gypsy jazz and classic American jazz standards. Drawing heavily from the music of Django Reinhardt, in the style of his classic Quintette du Hot Club de France, La Pompe will take us back to a time when Reinhardt was forging a groundbreaking musical style.
