Idea Lab

Join creative leaders from Denver and nationally for a full day event featuring panel discussions and workshops on getting inspired, building partnerships and putting your ideas into action. You should attend this free event if you are a creative community-builder, an artist with ideas to share, working at the intersection of creativity and business, or dedicated to innovation. The IdeaLab is a chance to connect to local and national networks of creatives, hone your ideas, expand your partnership capacity, and get inspired to make good happen.

The morning panel combines Denver creatives with a national perspective, bringing together arts leaders from different disciplines and practices. The panel features:

– Lisa Eldred, Director of Exhibitions, Art & Interpretation, Denver Botanic Gardens
– Samantha White, Artistic Director, Shakespeare in Detroit
– Joan Vorderbruggen, Cultural District Arts Coordinator, Made Here MN
– Stuart Hyatt, artist & musician, M12 Studio
– Carl Atiya Swanson, Director of Movement Building, Springboard for the Arts & Creative Exchange
LUNCH & TOURS
For lunch, grab food from vendors around the Studio Loft Venue, and take the time to make a new connection! There will be a number of special arts tours with a small group to select from over the lunch period – tour backstage at Denver Arts & Venues, see the studios of Youth on Record, or go on other tours TBA.
AFTERNOON WORKSHOP
The afternoon workshop will highlight partnership-building strategies, ways to develop and share your programs and ideas, create live opportunities for new connections. Facilitated by Creative Exchange’s Carl Atiya Swanson, come away from the session with inspiration and resources to more your creative ideas forward.
HAPPY HOUR
To end the day, join participants, artists and speakers for an informal happy hour at the award-winning Epernay Lounge to debrief, discuss the day and connect further around the creative possibilities in Denver.
