FIELD TRIP: Mummies

Hey Go Play Denver fans! Let’s go on a field trip! New year, new adventures, right? Join a group of curious and fun-loving people, our chief of programming Tara Bardeen and museum educator Jennifer Moss Logan for an exclusive tour of Mummies: New Secrets from the Tombs at Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

We’ve previewed the exhibit and can’t wait to share it with you. Did you know that Peruvians also mummified their dead? Indeed! And this exhibit includes both Egyptian and Peruvian mummies, a selection of sarcophagi and other objects associated with burial in these cultures. What’s truly new about this exhibition as compared to earlier exhibits you may have seen is the addition of interactive digital imagery that allows us to finally see what’s underneath all those wrappings.
