Denver Rocks! Let's do cool things!
How is testimony used as performance? How can visual art communicate that which cannot be spoken? And how do artists and activists act as performers of change?
The Vicki Myhren Gallery hosts a symposium on October 6th in conjunction with their fall exhibition, The Wall/ La Pared: Immigration and Identity. The exhibition explores “the wall” as a contested metaphor, redefining its meaning in the context of our current political climate. The gallery offers a space for artists with direct links to immigration exploring their identities, to react to the wall, or leave it behind.
This event is free and open to the public.
