Denver Rocks! Let's do cool things!
What does it take to leave Earth? Come learn about the concepts of defeating Earth’s gravity and launching into Space as presented by former Lockheed Martin engineer, Mr. Stephen Kelly at the Wings Over the Rockies Museum.
This talk will begin with the scientists and innovators who contributed to the technical abilities required for space flight, including Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, Herman Oberth, and Robert Goddard. Also covered will be the current propulsion methods for space launch boosters, which have advanced over the years. After the lecture, Mr. Kelly will lead a walking tour around several museum artifacts, including Robert Goddard’s rocket and our model of the V-2 rocket.
Tickets will also give you entry into the museum for the day.
