Discover the post-WWII development of commercial aviation in Colorado as presented by former Lockheed Martin engineer Stephen Kelly. Learn about the rapid growth of Stapleton Airport, including the expansion of United, Continental, and Western Air Lines and the formation of Frontier Air Lines, the expansion of general aviation and fixed base operators, development of the United Air Lines Training Center and lots more. The first 40 minutes of the event will be lecture style, the final 20 minutes will be a walking tour around several Wings’ artifacts including United Airlines’ cockpits and the new “Stories from Colorado Skies” exhibit.
Tickets include museum entry.
