- Check out one of Denver’s newest art installations, a huge outdoor mural by Shantell Martin at the Colorado Convention Center and then walk to Understudy, a new experimental art space at 890 C 14th St to see what’s happening.
- See art in action at Redline, a contemporary art center where resident artists’ studios are open to visit.
- Tour the art collection of the ART Hotel and then get a drink by one of the rooftop fire pits.
- Explore art with the help of an augmented reality device at “Still & Art” at the Clyfford Still Museum, which is always free on Fridays 5p – 8p and all day on the final Friday of the month.
- Ride a Bcylce along the Cherry Creek trail to admire Urban Arts Fund murals.
- Be inspired to make your own art after a visit to Meininger Art Supply, ReCreative Denver or Fancy Tiger.
- Pop in for one of Wonderbound’s open rehearsals– bring your own beverage and relax on their cozy couches.
- Take a picture with your Chinese Zodiac animal at Ai Weiwei’s installation new the fountain in Civic Center Park and then go see what’s on display in the McNichols Building–admission is free.
- Try drop in drawing (second Tuesdays) and writing (fourth Tuesdays) sessions at the Denver Art Museum; they’re free with admission and include supplies.
- Immerse yourself in Western art at the American Museum of Western Art. As a bonus, experience of of Denver’s oldest buildings, which many claim is haunted, the Navarre.
